Peter Campbell (BCom University of Canterbury 1985, CA 1985), has owned and operated his own accountancy/investment/business advisory firm in Westport since May 1988, currently employing 14 staff. He is married to Jan (also a member of staff), and they have three grown daughters. 


Peter has been involved in many community activities, and has strong sporting interests. He is Secretary and life-time member of Coal Town Museum, an active member and Past-President of Westport Rotary Club, and 2002-2008 was Chairperson of the Buller Youthworks programme. He has been a keen squash, hockey, and cricket player (former Buller and West Coast rep.), was Chairperson of Buller Netball Association, and is a local rugby referee.


Peter was involved with School Trustees at local, regional and national level from 1995 to 2006, being elected to the NZ School Trustees Association Board in 2004, which he represented on the Ministry of Education's Practitioners' Group to review Principals' salaries and the Operations Grant. In 2000 he became a representative of the Chamber of Commerce (WC Branch), and in 2004 a member of the ACC Liaison Committee with NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants. In 2008 he was elected as a Councillor on the Buller District Council. 


Jane Douglas started with Campbell & Associates in 1994, having come from Australia where she worked in the accounting and banking industries, along with the hospitality industry as an administration manager. Jane also spent some time in the UK working with business services providers as part of her extensive overseas travel.


Jane is our Office Manager and is therefore familiar with a wide range of services provided by Campbell & Associates, including GST, Cashflow, business administration, taxation, payroll and audit.


For new clients, Jane is often your first contact as she will discuss and personalise the services you require while introducing you to the team members who will be working with you.


Jane has a NZ Diploma in Business Studies and NZ Diploma in Management.


Annette MacPherson started with Campbell & Associates in 1997 and has a NZ Diploma in Business Studies and NZ Diploma in Management.


Before starting with Campbell & Associates, Annette had 11 years experience working in chartered accountancy firms.


Annette is involved in assisting a number of small businesses with compliance and administration tasks and has a wide range of activities within the team - looking after taxation compliance, preparation of annual and periodic management financial accounts, dealing with the IRD over tax assessments, audits and looking after clients needs which may be a bit more specialised or one-off type assignments. 


Jan Campbell has been working with Campbell & Associates since 1999.


Jan is the manager responsible for payroll and employment law services and also is involved in providing business administration services including Cashflow and GST. 


Janice Meikle briefly worked for Campbell & Associates in 1988/89 before leaving for her OE in the UK. While in the UK and since her return to New Zealand in 2001, Janice continued to work in chartered accountancy firms and has accumulated over 18 years of experience working in a variety of CA firms, from the small to large international practices.


Janice returned to the West Coast in 2008 and we are pleased to have her back helping our clients with financial account preparation, taxation, GST, payroll, business administration and audit.


Julianne Kerr started full-time with Campbell & Associates in 2001 after spending 14 years in the business administration division of a national clothing retail company.


Julianne is responsible for managing our GST and Cashflow services, payroll, debtor and creditor management.


Julianne now works part-time, with the rest of her day spent gaining valuable hands-on experience on a dairy farm. 


Denise Murray has been with Campbell & Associates since 2002. Prior to that Denise worked in the Business Administration division of a national clothing retailing company and also had a short term working at the ASB bank.


Denise is responsible for GST and Cashflow preparation, payroll, debtor and creditor management and company administration.
